Looking ahead

It has been a long time since I have written a blog post here.

One reason is because I was debating which direction I want my writing to take and to be perfectly honest, I am still contemplating this.  But I feel that it is time to put down some of my thoughts and so here I am.

2018 was a rather full year.  A lot happened – some things were good, some things were not good, but that’s life for you. You take the rough with the smooth and you move onwards.  The other day a good friend of mine said to me that I am incredibly strong.  At times I don’t feel that I am, but I have survived things that I didn’t anticipate and come out the other side. So I’ve decided that I plan to tackle 2019, by looking ahead.

In the past I have sometimes picked a focus word for the year.  It seems to be something that many people have picked up on.  So this is something that I wanted to do this year.

My word is:

It is time that I have faith in my abilities and believe in myself.  It is time to believe and feel more confident with my writing.

Do you pick a focus word at the beginning of a new year?
Do you have any plans for this year?
